John Lewis plc
John Lewis is known for it high quality customer service and unbeatable pricing. Department Store Training at John Lewis plc is no exception. Meantime Media was commissioned to produce a series of 12 videos to be shown in each of the company’s stores as part of staff training. They included in depth training on selling techniques and covered China, Pictures, Kitchens, Children’s Shoes, Gloves, Shirts, Fashion Fabrics and many more.
The success of this project is measured in the significantly reduced time it now takes to bring staff members up to speed when they join a new department.
Renishaw
Renishaw plc designs and manufactures the worlds leading machine tool probing systems. Meantime Media regularly produces ‘impact DVDs’ for use on the web and at many of the international exhibitions which the company attends. One novel approach to using plasma screens on their trade stand was to shoot their products in action ‘portrait style’ . The resulting videos were displayed in a mock-up robotic machine. This saved the cost of hauling a 2 ton machine across the world and allowed the complete range of tools to be showcased.
The savings in transport and set-up costs make this a success story as does the way in which several competitors are now trying to imitate the idea.
Dream Doors
Dream Doors is one of the countries leading franchise organisations. Their core business is replacement kitchen doors and work tops. Meantime Media produced a carefully targeted DVD which not only showed the value for money proposition but also presented an interactive door selector which allows viewers to see their choice of door in a range of kitchen layouts.
For Dream Doors it was the most effective promotional activity ever and their success can be seen in a massive increase in turnover and profit - directly attributed to the use of their promotional DVD.
